Anne Hyland
NED, Board chair

Anne brings with her over 30 years of commercial and financial experience with an extremely strong track record in the medical industry. Anne was an executive Director of a number of successful startups including Kymab Group sold to Sanofi in 2021 for up to US$1.4 billion and Vectura Group plc listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2004.  She has also been a non-executive director of several listed companies including Clinigen Group plc; Elementis plc and Mereo Biopharma Group plc.  

Charlie Alvarez

Charlie is CEO of Stratus, a leading U.S. provider of neurodiagnostic solutions and cloud-based EEG technologies. Under his leadership, Stratus has expanded services to over 600 hospital systems nationwide and established itself as a widely recognised solution in ambulatory EEG review. A seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience, Charlie has held senior roles at DCI Health Technology, Sotera Wireless, and co-founded Watermark Medical. In recognition of his contributions to digital health, he was named one of the Top 50 Healthcare Technology CEOs of 2022 by The Healthcare Technology Report.

David Buller

David is an Investment Partner of the Ascension Life Fund and Venture Partner at Ascension Ventures. He is also a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of KELES, a pioneering digital health venture capital (VC) firm.  David’s career spans from healthtech entrepreneur to leading venture capitalist in digital health.  He has a proven track record in business building, strong investment returns and an extensive international network.  David founded Avantec (hospital supplies and pharmacy automation), which was acquired by Omnicell in 2015.

Richard Haycock

Richard is the Co-Founder and CEO of the QantX investment fund.  Richard has been involved in technology businesses for 40 years. He is an innovation driven entrepreneur and has wide experience of building and scaling businesses through new technology, venturing, and creating disruptive business models.  Richard held the position of Senior Director at Oracle Corp. from 2003 to 2020 and was Vice President at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. from 1998 to 2002.

Professor John Terry FMedSci

John combines commercial acumen and academic excellence to drive the company’s vision. A world-leading epilepsy expert, John was awarded TechSpark Founder of the Year in 2024 and the recipient of the Tech South West Leadership prize in 2025. John has led our transformation from startup to a thriving 15-strong team, backed by £5M in grants and equity investment. Alongside his role at Neuronostics John is an EPSRC Established Career Fellow and Professor of Digital Health Innovation at University of Plymouth. He is a additionally a Theme Lead in Enabling Technologies for the Epilepsy Research Institute.

Dr Wessel Woldman

Wes is at the forefront of epilepsy research, having previously held prestigious Fellowships from both Epilepsy Research UK and the Medical Research Council. He has pioneered the development of mathematical models and algorithms that underpin BioEP and leads the science team in developing our cutting-edge products. He also drives forward collaborations with strategic partners, helping to integrate our technologies into existing and novel service offerings. As Co-Founder and Scientific Director Wes is a member of both our Leadership Team and board of directors.
