The Science Behind BioEP™
- BioEP is not a traditional black box AI system, but a deterministic and repeatable method for analysing EEG data.
- BioEP focuses on analysing the background activity (or the non-seizure, resting state) of the brain.
- It calculates 8 biomarkers (2 EEG signal properties, 4 network metrics & 2 brain network simulations) known to be altered in people with epilepsy.
- The biomarkers inform a classifier that calculates the BioEP score.
