Participant Recruitment for PRISTINE Clinical Trial Completed!

Posted

Neuronostics has successfully completed participant recruitment on time for our PRISTINE clinical trial. This study marks a significant milestone in our mission to improve diagnostic decision making in epilepsy using our innovative biomarker, BioEP.

Led by Consultant Nurse for the Epilepsies, Phil Tittensor at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, the PRISTINE study aims to evaluate the potential of BioEP in first seizure clinics. Our goal is to provide additional information, particularly when many EEGs are non-contributory.

Phil Tittensor, the Chief Investigator for the PRISTINE study, shared his thoughts on this achievement:
“It has been an honour to serve as Chief Investigator for the PRISTINE study. The patients that we have recruited really see the potential of the additional analysis provided by the BioEP algorithm, particularly when many EEGs in the first seizure situation are non-contributory. No eligible patients coming through the clinic have declined to consent, which I think speaks volumes. I am now incredibly excited to see how BioEP correlates with clinical outcomes.”

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants and the dedicated team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust for their invaluable contributions to this study.

Keep an eye out for more updates as we analyse the data and continue the journey of improving epilepsy care with BioEP.
