Neuronostics team completes Epilepsy Awareness Training

Posted

Last week, the Neuronostics team took part in Epilepsy Awareness Training, led by the brilliant Simon Privett.

Simon didn’t just focus on the formalities. He shared powerful insights from his own lived experience, including the moment he had a seizure on a quiet railway platform and fell onto the tracks. It was only thanks to a passerby raising the alarm that he was safely rescued before a train arrived.

Stories like these are critical to help us deepen our understanding of the many faces of epilepsy and the vital role of timely, informed support.

It’s easy to focus on innovation, but awareness, empathy and understanding are just as essential in the work we do. Keeping our team informed isn’t a box-ticking exercise, it’s part of our responsibility to the communities we serve.

Thank you Simon, for a thoughtful and engaging session and for reminding us why this work matters.

Want to boost epilepsy awareness in your organisation? We can highly recommend Simon at Epilepsy Action.
