Neuronostics showcases BioEP at the American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting 2025

Posted

Neuronostics attended the American Epilepsy Society (AES) Annual Meeting 2025 in Atlanta, held from 5–9 December at the Georgia World Congress Center, joining more than 5,000 researchers and clinicians from over 75 countries focused on advancing epilepsy diagnosis and care.

Throughout the meeting, the Neuronostics team engaged with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to demonstrate BioEP, its patented digital biomarker platform designed to extract clinically meaningful insights from EEG recordings that are currently reported as normal or inconclusive.

More than 70% of routine EEGs provide limited diagnostic guidance. BioEP addresses this challenge by revealing objective indicators of seizure susceptibility within these recordings, supporting clearer, more confident clinical decision-making.

Strong engagement at the ILAE Neurotechnology Section

Neuronostics was invited to present BioEP as part of the ILAE Neurotechnology Section, a dedicated session showcasing emerging technologies supporting the diagnosis and management of epilepsy.

The session attracted standing-room-only attendance, reflecting strong interest from the epilepsy community in digital and data-driven diagnostic tools. During the presentation, the team introduced BioEP and outlined its clinical, research, and commercial applications, as well as partnership opportunities across the epilepsy ecosystem.

The session prompted valuable discussions with colleagues working in areas including EEG services, MEG, source localisation, neuromodulation and stimulation, and treatment response assessment.

Building momentum and partnerships at AES 2025

Across four days in Atlanta, the Neuronostics team held dozens of conversations with organisations spanning clinical care, research, pharmaceuticals, and medical device development. There was strong interest in the potential of BioEP to support improved diagnosis, enable quantitative digital endpoints, and inform next-generation neuromodulation and treatment strategies.

Neuronostics attended AES with a clear message: validated technology, regulatory approvals in place, and an FDA submission planned for 2026. The response from the epilepsy community was significant, reinforcing the need for objective, scalable EEG analytics within clinical workflows.

The team would like to thank everyone who took the time to engage, visit the poster, challenge assumptions, and explore what collaboration could look like. The focus now turns to transforming these conversations into meaningful partnerships.

Neuronostics looks forward to continuing this momentum and reconnecting with the epilepsy community at AES 2026.
