Neuronostics and Nervus Announce Strategic Partnership to Enhance EEG Diagnostics in NHS Hospitals

Posted

Bristol, UK: February 27, 2025 – Neuronostics Ltd, an innovator in advanced digital biomarkers and EEG analysis, is excited to announce a strategic commercial partnership with Nervus Ltd, a provider of fast, accurate, and cost-effective EEG solutions. Working collaboratively will enable greater access to EEG and innovative tools to support its analysis, ultimately reducing diagnostic delays and improving patient outcomes.

Advancing EEG Technology to Benefit NHS Hospitals
The partnership will ensure that NHS Trusts have access to state-of-the-art EEG diagnostics that streamline workflows, reduce waiting times and enhance clinical decision-making. By integrating Neuronostics’ cutting-edge BioEP technology with Nervus’ advanced EEG systems, hospitals will benefit from a comprehensive, high-quality solution that offers the most comprehensive information available to support clinical decisions and so improve efficiency and patient care.

Professor John R. Terry, Managing Director at Neuronostics, stated: “I’m delighted that Nervus and Neuronostics will work collaboratively on the challenge of epilepsy diagnosis. Working closely with both clinicians and people with suspected epilepsy, I have seen first-hand the significant impact that delays in accessing EEG services has. By embedding BioEP within the Nervus software we will ensure that clinicians have easy access to the best possible information to support their diagnostic decisions.”

Expanding NHS Partnerships
Neuronostics and Nervus will work collaboratively to establish relationships with NHS Trusts across the UK. This joint effort will facilitate broader adoption of innovative EEG technology, enabling healthcare providers to make data-driven decisions that improve patient outcomes and streamline the diagnostic process, by enabling access to the Neuronostics BioEP algorithm directly from Nervus software.

Stephen Walters, CEO at Nervus, commented: “Really excited about this partnership which will support our mission to reduce NHS EEG monitoring waiting lists. Working alongside Neuronostics we will be able to improve patient outcomes through innovation.”

About Epilepsy

Epilepsy affects over 65 million people globally, including over 600,000 in the UK. It is a condition that is hard to diagnose and difficult to treat. It takes on average over a year to confirm a case of epilepsy, with misdiagnosis rates as high as 30%. Despite the impact of severe epilepsy being more significant than most cancers, epilepsy receives far less investment in research and support services.
