The Neuronostics team

We’re a small med-tech company, passionate about using research to improve the lives of people with epilepsy.

We work closely with people with lived experience of epilepsy and the medical teams that support them to ensure that our technologies are developed to meet the needs of those who can benefit most from them.

The members of our team are:

Professor John Terry, Co-founder

John has over 20 years’ experience spanning five Russell Group Universities. He is a world-leading epilepsy expert and an internationally recognised leader; recipient of a Miegunyah Distinguished Visiting Fellowship from the University of Melbourne (2015/16) and a graduate of the Wellcome Trust Research Leadership Development Programme (2018/19). He has a significant track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, supported by commercial, charity and research council income totalling in excess of £15M. John is the strategic lead for the company.

Dr Wessel Woldman, Co-founder

Wessel is a University of Birmingham Career Transition Fellow. A mathematician by training, his first published paper was highlighted by the Lancet Neurology as a breakthrough study in epilepsy. Wessel is responsible for optimising and testing the clinical functionality of BioEP, as well as leading on scientific discovery and validation of future Neuronostics products.

Chrissie Walker, Operations Director

Chrissie has over 20 years’ experience in charity and academic sectors, as well as in commercial publishing.  She has significant experience and expertise in directing operations, project management and communications and marketing. Tenacious and solutions focused, she specialises in teambuilding and people systems, organisational development and process improvement. She has extensive experience of successfully managing distributed teams of
academics, clinicians and researchers to meet commercial and project deadlines. In her most recent role, she directed operations in a substantial academic unit that grew from 10 to 40 researchers in 3 years with total funding in excess of £10M. Chrissie leads the operational elements of Neuronostics, including project management, HR, finances and marketing.

Ross Parkman, Technical Director

Ross has worked for over 15 years in the commercial IT sector. He has delivered project management, technical consultancy and business solutions for blue chip companies and national governments throughout the UK, Europe and North America. In addition to his deep technical knowledge, he has a strong track-record in business development and partnership management through the identification and creation of new products and services resulting in significant revenue streams. In his most recent role, he was Head of Professional Services for a Microsoft Gold Partner. Ross is responsible for the technical elements of implementing Neuronostics’ technologies.
